Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Zentralog uses, what they do, and how you can manage your preferences. It complements our Privacy Policy and is written to comply with Article 22 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act (LSSI) and the European e-Privacy Directive.

1. Introduction

When you use Zentralog we may store small pieces of information on your device, either as HTTP cookies or in equivalent client-side storage. Some of these are strictly needed for the service to work, others are optional and only run after you have given consent through our cookie banner.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your browser to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies includelocalStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB and other browser-side storage mechanisms. For the purposes of this policy and of Article 22 of the LSSI, we treat all of them the same way: anything that is not strictly necessary requires your prior consent.

3. Categories we use

Zentralog organises cookies and similar technologies into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the service to function (sign-in, session, security). Not subject to consent.
  • Functional. Remember non-essential preferences such as language and theme. Stored in localStorage or cookies. Considered necessary for the agreed user experience but listed transparently below.
  • Analytics. Help us understand how the service is used in aggregate. Loaded only after you grant consent.
  • Marketing. Not currently used.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for authentication and basic operation. They cannot be disabled without breaking the service.

5. Functional storage

These items remember preferences that improve the user experience. They are activated when you make a corresponding choice (change language, toggle theme, enable privacy mode). They are not used for tracking and do not require explicit consent under Article 22 of the LSSI when limited to the user-requested preference, but we list them here for transparency.

NameTypeProviderPurposeDuration

zentra-privacy-modelocalStorageZentralogHides sensitive figures (P&L, balances) for safer screenshotsUntil cleared

6. Analytics

Analytics help us understand how the service is used in aggregate so we can prioritise improvements. They are loaded only after you have granted consent in the cookie banner.

ServiceProviderData collectedCookies set
Vercel AnalyticsVercel Inc. (USA)Anonymised page views, navigation events, derived country and device classNone by default (cookieless tracking)
Vercel Speed InsightsVercel Inc. (USA)Anonymised performance metrics (Core Web Vitals) per pageNone by default (cookieless tracking)

Although these services are cookieless by default, they still process technical data (IP address, user-agent) that may qualify as personal data under the GDPR. For that reason we gate them behind your consent and load them only after you have agreed in the cookie banner. International transfers to the United States are protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Marketing

Zentralog does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party advertising trackers. If we introduce any in the future we will update this policy and request your consent before they are activated.

8. Manage your preferences in Zentralog

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below. The cookie consent panel will open, listing each category and letting you accept, reject or customise non-essential storage. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled from the panel because the service would stop working.

If the consent panel does not appear, refresh the page or clear the zentralog_cc cookie and reload.

9. Manage cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings. Each browser documents the steps in its own help centre:

Disabling all cookies from your browser will prevent you from signing in to Zentralog, because authentication relies on the cookies listed in section 4.

10. Withdraw your consent

You can withdraw your consent for analytics and any other non-essential storage at any time, with the same ease with which you gave it, by opening the cookie consent panel (section 8). Withdrawal takes effect immediately for any new processing; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies or technologies we use, or when applicable law changes. Each version is identified at the bottom of this page. If we update the policy in a way that affects the cookies you previously consented to, we will request your consent again through the cookie banner.

12. Contact

For any question regarding this Cookie Policy, write to info@zentralog.com.

Version: v1.0

Last updated: 2026-05-12

This is a v1.0 policy drafted during the private beta. The cookie consent banner is implemented in Phase 8 of the Rithmic conformance plan; until then, the “Open cookie preferences” button dispatches an event that the banner will handle once it lands.
